Carl’s Salon and Day Spa is a fixture in the Baltimore area. Originally started in 1924, some of our current staff were originally hired in the 1950’s and are still here working their magic. Our staff hails from all over the world, and bring their European training to Baltimore.

Willmar Sick Willmar was also an owner at Carl’s hair salon and day spa for more than 50 years, and like Howard, he specializes in color and styling. Willmar is a member of Intercoiffure for more than 50 years. He has shared his skills and talent with many apprentice colorists and stylists over the years. He has participated in many hair shows and continuing education classes over the years as well. He is an award winning stylist and colorist, having won the Best of Baltimore, the Intercoiffure Lifetime Achievement Award, along with the Intercoiffure America Diploma of Excellence, Educator of the Century. |

Howard Fong Howard was an owner at Carl’s hair salon and day spa for more than 50 years. He specializes in color and styling, and has been a member of Intercoiffure for more than 50 years. He has participated in many hair shows and continuing education classes. Howard has trained many colorists and stylists over the years. |

Nalan Socolaro Born in Skopye Macedonia, with a Turkish heritage. Nalan speaks seven languages fluently with a European experience in hair styling, especially hair coloring and highlights. Coming from a hair dressers family (mother and grandfather) she has gained a lot of knowledge and experience. Nalans coloring techiques are a mixture of Turkish, Italian and Australian. She has worked with some of the most talented hair stylists and today works with Mr. Willmar Sick. Nalan provides tremendous confidence, pride and motivation to her clients. Her goal is to introduce European and American techniques to create modern and sexy hair. |

Enriqueta Sagastume Born in Guatamala and educated at Baltimore Community College, Enriqueta received two years of hair education at Baltimore Hair Design and trained as an apprentice at Carl Intercoiffure for two years. She has also taken Graham Webb classes specializing in hair color and cutting. She has now been with Carl’s for 12 years. |

Chester Kabaniec Chester has more than 30 years of experience in the industry, and has been with Carl’s Hair Salon and Day Spa for the last 5 years. Over the years, Chester got his basic training in New London, CT, and owned a hair salon in Greenfield, MA. He’s been involved in hair design education as well. He was an "in salon" educator at Whitmans’ Hair Design and Spa in Brattleboro, VT for 17 years, and then an instructor at Whitman’s School of Hair Design for 5 years. He was also the regional salon educator for Goldwell New England. Chester has also studies with Serge Renard, Paris. |

Brenda Regusters Brenda is a native Baltomorean with 15 years experience. She has completed numerous color and cutting classes including Vidal Sassoon in Santa Monica, California. Brenda has been with Carl’s hair salon and day spa for 3 years. |

Nakisha Green Nakisha has 13 years experience and has been with Carl’s Hair Salon for 3 years. She has training in Vidal Sassoon, Alfaparf Color, L'Oréal Texture Cutting, and trained at SoHo Academy, New York, New York. In addition, Nakisha is a L'Oréal educator. Nakisha also volunteers her hair cutting expertise at Mens for Cutts, and My Sister’s place, a local shelter. |

Ingrid Glorioso Ingrid received her training in Germany, and has more than 30 years of experience as a stylist and hair replacement specialist. She owned and operated Ingrid Hair Design/Hair Replacement for 31 years before making the move to Carl’s Hair Salon and Day Spa. Ingrid specializes in color as well as hairpieces and wigs. She also does formal styling for weddings and special events. Ingrid also takes annual updated courses on color and styling. |

Lisa Stuart Like Phyllis, Lisa will give each client a head and shoulder massage before the shampoo to help them relax. Lisa has been with Carl’s hair salon and day spa for 10 years. |

Phyllis Williams Phyllis has been with Carl’s hair salon and day spa for 40 years, and is expert in giving head and shoulder massages before each shampoo. |

Brett Evans Brett has been with Carl’s hair salon and day spa for 3 years, studying and training in the art of hair coloring. Brett looks forward to being behind the chair serving clients. |

Sulma Bouffard Sulma has been the receptionist at Carl’s Hair Salon and Day Spa for 8 years. She helps with all client needs and speaks Spanish for our Spanish speaking clients. |

Sandra Abinader Sandra grew up in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. She graduated from Reynold Institute of Nail Design in Baltimore. Sandra has 11 years experience as a professional nail technician specializing in Spa Pedicures, Spa Manicures and artificial nails. She is always researching and learning the latest trends and techniques. Sandra takes pride and interest in keeping her clients up to date on everything there is to know about their nail health. Sandra is a perfectionist and it is important to her to help her clients look and feel their very best. |

Ida Volkomich Ida is an experienced esthetician manicurest and make-up artist expert in corrective eyebrow waxing and reshaping. Ida was a previous salon owner (New Look Day Spa) and has worked in the Mt. Washington area. Ida will look forward to meeting you in Carl's Hair Salon and Day Spa.
